Our mission is to enrich the lives of our residents and support their efforts to live and proclaim the Gospel message by cultivating a safe and joyful atmosphere of belonging and deep sense of purpose; maximizing each priest’s health and wellbeing; providing individual and corporate opportunities for ongoing spiritual and personal growth and development; facilitating participation in the conscientious stewardship of God’s gifts; and celebrating each priest’s unique contribution to Christ and His Church.
Residents living in Regina Cleri Community enjoy numerous opportunities to continue in ministry: in Archdiocesan parishes, on campus at the Cardinal Rigali Center or Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, at home for their priestly brothers, and more.
A dynamic fraternity of senior priests living and proclaiming the Gospel message of Jesus Christ through joyful engagement with brother priests, seminarians, and the community.
Regina Cleri is unique. Priests pray together, gather for meals, attend social events, and enjoy seminary-like discussions without the homework. The atmosphere is peaceful and joy-filled, with tranquil spaces in the chapel and throughout the grounds.
Founded in 1959 by Cardinal Ritter, Regina Cleri was created to honor and care for the priests of the Archdiocese of St. Louis through our services in retirement. Today, the mission continues as we develop strategic initiatives to regularly update our facilities, maintain a high degree of employee engagement, and provide a unique retirement experience tailored to the lives of our beloved priests.
